First Posting

This bLOG is an addition to my MSN group Gays Away in Buenos Aires which is a bulletin board and social meeting group for gay expatriates (and their friends) either living or visiting Buenos Aires.

I decided to start this bLOG because the Buenos Aires gay web sites are generally disappointing. Most are out-dated and few have current information or promote forthcoming events. The best web site by far is Buenos Aires Gay Travel Guide http://www.thegayguide.com.ar/

None of the web sites (in English or Spanish) at todays date mention that since the tragic fire on 30th December that killed over 180 and injured over 700 all discos are closed. The city government is reviewing all licences of public enclosed spaces and some cines, restaurants, shopping malls, have already been closed (albeit temporarily). When the discos do re-open there will undoubtedly be some changes, and some may never re-open.
