What's happening in Gay Buenos Aires

Here are a few snippets of what is happening on the Buenos Aires gay scene just now.

Amerika disco remains closed so the most popular gay disco on either Friday or Saturday night is The Sub on Ave. Córdoba 543 (basement). Warning: the entry price of $25 includes free drinks all night but I recommend you stick to beer. The locally-made hard liquor has some of the properties of industrial alcohol.

For a pre-disco dinner and humorous drag show the best place is Chueca restaurant and bar at Soler 3283 in Palermo.

Note added January 2007: Chueca has closed at the old address and will re-open soon at Honduras 5255, Palermo.

Tbe best sauna in the city is still A Full Spa at Viamonte 1770 although there is a new one called Energy Spa recently opened near Parque Centenario which looks good that I didn't check out yet.
