Signing off, and a word of warning
With the arrival of 2006 I feel that is time to sign off on this bLOG and consign it to history. It served its purpose at the time to keep people informed about what was happening on the gay scene in Buenos Aires which was decimated following the appalling tragedy of the fire at Cromagnon night club on December 30th 2004. Over the year it has also documented some of my excursions out onto the gay scene. Lately I have been going out on the scene much less mainly due to imperfect health (but I still have the occasional fling, so not quite dead yet). The monthly gay magazine Imperio G is available at principal magazine kiosks for $5 pesos and there are other free guides and maps available at the gay places.
The warning is about The Titanic Club bar. There is nothing wrong with the bar but you are strongly advised to pay for your drinks when you buy them. If you run a tab you may get a nasty surprise at the end of the night and then, if you ask for an itemised bill, it won't be available. (Note: This bar on Av. Callao is now closed.)
